On the few occasions when none are available, it's definitely more stressful leaving the boys with someone else. We just find we are *very* choosy about what we do on our nights out together, since it's a big deal!

Also, three is rearing its ugly head around here lately, too - augh!!! I feel the same way about the babysitter thing. Pretty much anyone will watch Kellen, well, because he's a pretty easy kid. But we don't have it that good with Mila. Her colic has kind of scarred grandma and it is rare that anyone offers up watching her for the night, except for Lisa, of course! She is the best friend a gal can have! Hoping that Louie figures this daytime nursing thing out, because that can't be fun for you :( Ugh, I would be miserable walking around with engorged boobs all day. Anywho, here's to more nights out with the hubby and with friends :)Freckleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01906720332642191078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803341.post-61636831941828282302012-11-17T21:28:36.546-06:002012-11-17T21:28:36.546-06:00Finding sitters can be hard! Hopefully it will get easier for you guys as the boys get a little older. Also I want to say... way to go on blogging everyday! I have only blog 10 of 17 days... I am not doing nearly as good as you are, you are my hero for sticking with it and doing it everyday!! I love reading your blog and getting a little insight into your life.Berbs33https://www.blogger.com/profile/10997549438245315622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803341.post-45793518766603005102012-11-17T13:35:54.381-06:002012-11-17T13:35:54.381-06:00Oh, I feel you - not for exactly the same reasons,...Oh, I feel you - not for exactly the same reasons, but getting a sitter is hard right now because Annie is super resistant to it. And now Luke has not been going to bed as easily with a bottle either, so it's just a pain. I do like going out after bedtime, but I worry that if we truly do just sneak out without even telling Annie, that'll be the one night she DOES need something. And if we DO tell her, that just results in a mini meltdown. So, we often do what you do - just one of us goes out, or we get takeout after bedtime (which thankfully for us is usually done by 7:30, so we have plenty of time)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17928807868790599467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803341.post-18827004103548406292012-11-17T07:37:27.128-06:002012-11-17T07:37:27.128-06:00We struggle with the babysitter issue too. Sometimes it doesn't make it worth it. Date night often ends up us watching a movie together ... on the couch because it just isn't worth it to screw up the kid's schedule.

Glad you were able to get out!Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13431574559764434086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803341.post-37571471617428525352012-11-17T00:12:59.826-06:002012-11-17T00:12:59.826-06:00Like a child leading his cousin down a dark stairw...Like a child leading his cousin down a dark stairway mumbling to her about Moo Jr?

And I'm like why are there babies in the stairway to the office?

Obvious.

Kids are crazy. Smart, too. Crazy and smart--a formidable combination.

Plus Maria helped him hone is cussing skills in the car.

Bahhahahahaha.

Okay, shaping up now.

I agree that whole leave them with sitters line is a bit over-simplified.

And yet? If these are sitters who welcome the money and are not overused?

Yes, pay them to endure so we can get away for an evening.

Glad you guys had fun. Maria seemed perfectly fine when she came home and hopefully didn't teach the child any new bad words.

love you so, Valvalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11225253082963245064noreply@blogger.com
