The first thing I did when I got home was open up your blog to hear about the amazing story...and it is truly that...an amazing story. I am so impressed with your ability to share the experience so vividly; I feel like it was me having the baby. Speaking of...reading this blog makes my uterus just ache with anticipation of getting pregnant and meeting the love of my life. Actually, I think maybe I could have, but I KNOW Corey could not have. He would be content to be a dad of the old days when the men waited outside until it was all over. Dan is a keeper, that's for sure :)

Congratulations to the both of you! How strong and focused you and your husband were and what a wonderful reward - welcome Gus!

So glad you are back and got to read your experience. It brought tears to my eyes when you described Gus’s actual arrival. What a grand arrival it was. I agree with Mandy – you and Dan are definitely heroes in my book for how well you managed it all, your extreme calmness when your water broke, your focus through your contractions, your understanding of the process and best practices… Though you and Dan both kept us all super calm during the rest of the movie, I admit that all I could think about was “Holy cow, she’s having the baby!” and couldn’t tell you how the movie really ended. :)

All I can say is that I am very impressed and can only hope that I can be half as lucky for my first when/if the time comes. And that you are so adorable with Gus!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16105626023930966164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803341.post-39960220058248919252009-09-17T22:26:27.673-05:002009-09-17T22:26:27.673-05:00Thank you so much for sharing this story with me (...Thank you so much for sharing this story with me (and I hope you don't mind but I shared it with Frankie). I seriously think you are the strongest person I have even met, you totally had your mind set to doing it natural and you are hero in my mind. Reading this almost makes me want to try a natural birth but then again I think of my 23 hours of labor with Colton and there is no way I would have survived (and neither would have Frankie)! I am still smiling about the idea of you on your hands and knees in the parking ramp with Dan dropping all of the bags to help you! Dan is an amazing person too, I don't know that too many guys could do what he did and support you the way he did! Anyways, this is a long enough comment so I will stop. I am so excited to meet Gus in a few days. Take Care and keep the parenting stories coming, I know you and Dan are amazing Parents!Berbs33https://www.blogger.com/profile/10997549438245315622noreply@blogger.com
